Application failed to initialize properly 0xc0000135 is almost always caused by a bummed out dotNet 2.0 install. Use the dotNet cleanup utillity to remove dotNet 2.0 then reboot & reinstall dotNet 2.0 as an administrator.

Sometimes you have to rename c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727 to something else, then use the cleanup tool, then reboot, then reinstall .net v2. Use link in our previous post to download v2 -found here-.

QBServerUtilityMgr.exe – Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application.

This is due to an error in Microsoft .Net 2.0 or higher. Go to add/remove programs and click on .Net 2.0 and click on change. If prompted, select repair. When I clicked on change, it automatically repaired itself without further intervention.
